Biography
I was born in late October of 1975 to two wonderful parents, Elle & William, and raised in the small town of Hutchinson, Kansas. In addition, I have an older brother, Larry, that I wouldn't trade for anyone. I also happen to be the aunt of three great kids -- thanks, bro!
While growing up in Kansas, I spent much of my youth skipping school, riding my bicycle, hanging out at the roller rink, exploring the countryside, reading J.D. Salinger, falling in love with music, and stealing yard art & street signs.
After high school, like many young people, I went on to college with the optimism that such a foundation could secure my future. Dissatisfied by the lack of creativity my journalism studies provided, I dropped out of K-State University and wandered westward. After a brief detour through Tuscon, Arizona, I arrived in Los Angeles in early 1998.
I enjoyed the stage when I was younger (just ask my parents who dominated all the home videos!), but age has made me content (content? or happy?) with pulling a few strings from backstage -- or savoring the view from the audience.
After surviving a decade in Los Angeles, I am currently in the Midwest with my longtime feline companions, Jack & Teddy, to spend some quality time with family.
Things I enjoy: reading, listening to music, chasing rabbits, gardening, redecorating my new digs, taking a stroll through the woods, meeting new people, keeping in touch with my L.A. peeps, buying groovy vintage stuff at thrift shops, surfing El Porto or Dockweiler, hanging out at Venice Beach, collecting record albums, painting my toenails, perusing used book stores, visiting museums, purging my poisons, and following my heart.
