Moon Joy

Though the moon was so high,
I could see his luminating smile.
I had to stop and gaze,
At his moonlight for awhile.
The warm, soft evening breeze
Sounded like children at play
When it whispered through my ears
And told me summer's on her way.
The lilacs glowed white
As they caught a beam astray.
They danced to unheard music
As the trees began to sway.
I could have stayed forever,
Just basking in the glow.
I love the simple joys of life
That I have come to know.
